Agreeance

By confirming your order, you agree to the terms & conditions of my store policy. Once you place your order, you will receive an automatic email confirmation. I reserve the right not to deliver in the unlikely event that the stock level was incorrect at the time of receiving the order. Should I be unable to deliver in accordance with the terms in the confirmation of order, I will contact you and give you the opportunity to cancel the order. By approving these terms, you are also making an agreement to my Shipping, Delivery & Returns info, as well as the terms of my logistics partners.

Payment Options

My online store offers Stripe as a secure payment method which allows payment with your debit or credit card without the need for an account. Stripe is seamlessly integrated into my online store when checking out.  To learn more about Stripe, visit https://stripe.com/

Packaging

I care about the environment and carefully source all my packaging to be fully reusable, recyclable and/or compostable.

  • I chose minimal branding on my packaging so that you are free to reuse and repurpose the box and other materials after shipping
  • I print on quality recycled card using eco-inks, through a specialist printer service in Ireland that is powered by green energy
  • If an item requires the use of bubble wrap, it will be a 100% compostable eco-bubblewrap. Otherwise I use recycled cardboard, paper and natural fibres for protection during shipping
  • For larger, very fragile or heavier items, I may need to ship your artwork in a custom wooden box or crate so that it reaches you in perfect condition

Shipping

All items listed on my online store are hand produced in my studio and carefully checked before being packaged and shipped. I aim to process your order as quickly as possible, typically within 1-3 working days. If your order is urgent, please add a note in the comments section and I will do my best to accommodate.

Your item will be shipped via the national postal service in the Republic of Ireland (EU) called An Post, with registered shipping as standard. This offers you peace of mind as you can track your parcel in transit.

The estimated delivery times are:

Ireland: 1-3 working days
United Kingdom: 2-5 working days*
Rest of Europe: 3-5 working days*
USA: 6-9 working days*
Rest of World: 6-9 working days*

*Please note that estimated delivery duration in countries outside of Ireland are delivery duration estimates to the country not to the delivery address. Please allow for extra time for your postal service to process your delivery.

All postage weight up to 2kg is accounted for on my online store. Please contact me directly should you expect to exceed that weight in the case of multiple orders and I’ll do my best to find the most affordable means of delivery.

Please note that I cannot be held responsible for any An Post shipping delays or any custom fees and duties that may be additional to your order.

Collection

If you live in Ireland or are travelling through, you are welcome to collect your item(s) in person at the following location:

  • East Main St, Lismore, Co. Waterford, P51 WD62

Make sure to select the option for collection during payment and I will be in touch to arrange a collection time in person with you.

Returns

If you have any queries regarding your purchase, do not hesitate to contact me

Refunds will be offered if the item is damaged during shipment. If you receive a damaged piece, please retain all packing materials including the box and contact me within 48 hours of receiving the package so that I may begin an insurance claim. This process will require images of the packing materials and broken item. Refunds will not be issued beyond 48 hours of delivery or if the original packing materials are not kept.

I take great care in preparing my work and documenting it for sale. All pieces are accurately measured, weighed and photographed from multiple angles in natural light conditions before being listed on my online store. Due to the complexity and depth of natural surfaces, pieces often have subtle qualities that are difficult to accurately portray through photography.

Refunds due to dissatisfaction with size, weight or appearance are politely declined.

Care Instructions

My work is handmade from a variety of locally sourced and foraged natural materials. Surfaces range from raw and textured to glazed and polished, often displaying natural imperfections, therefore special care is needed for handling and cleaning your item. Below is an outline of the current processes I use and it’s specific care instructions:

RAKU-FIRED
CERAMIC
Raku is a low firing technique where bisqued ceramic (pre-fired ceramic to 1000°C ) is rapidly heated to approx. 1100°C and removed red hot from the kiln and into a combustion chamber to create unique surface variations. If it is unglazed, the ceramic will turn dark shades of brown, grey and black, usually with the use of sawdust and seaweed. If a glaze has been applied, the glaze will craze or crack finely due to thermal shock, creating a distinctive and/or subtle pattern, which is a desirable aesthetic of Raku. Visible cracks do not effect the integrity of the piece which is carefully checked, cleaned and quality controlled before being listed on my online store.

Since Raku is a low firing process, the clay still retains some porosity and will not be fully water tight. Therefore Raku-fired ceramic is best suited for display or for use with dry, non-food items such as dried flowers, jewellry, incense and smudge sticks.

My Raku-fired ceramics should be hand-cleaned only using a soft bristle brush with a light, natural soap. Allow to air-dry fully in between use.
